At 16, Nima Rinji Sherpa was climbing into what’s known as the death zone – altitudes above 26,000 feet, where the body’s organs begin to shut down, minute by minute. It took him just two years to scale all of the world’s 14 tallest mountains, making him the youngest person to accomplish the feat. The previous record-holder did it in nine years.
