My 2025 Fertility Wrapped ✨…. miraculous highs, traumatic lows, aching deja vu, and what I pray is the end of an 8 year fight to grow our family. The most insidious thing about infertility and IVF is how it completely dominates your life — everything else falls to the background and becomes the B plot. Professionally, this was a year dominated by career highlights unlike any I’ve ever experienced (training for my next science spaceflight! awards! billboards! recognitions!) But instead of fully celebrating any of those, my year was measured by blood draws and doctor’s appointments and medication schedules and brutal waiting (so, so much waiting) and crippling anxiety that I’m working every day to put behind me. But then suddenly it’s December and I’m here: 23 weeks pregnant with a fighter of a little girl who is exactly one week away from viability, and the finish line of late April in sight.
