Wanderley is Professor of Music Technology at McGill University. His research interests include the design and evaluation of digital musical instruments and the analysis of performer movements. He has widely published on these topics and held invited research chairs in several institutions in Europe and the Americas, including Inria Lille, France, the University of Mons, Belgium, and the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He is a member of the Computer Music Journal’s Editorial Advisory Board and a senior member of the ACM and the IEEE.
