Ready for anything. The Artemis II crew will observe parts of the Moon never before seen by human eyes, and send notes back to scientists on Earth. Exactly what the astronauts will see depends on lunar surface lighting - based on what phase the Moon is in - as they fly by, which in turn depends on launch timing. The crew and scientists have been practicing on data visualizations from NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter team, so they’re prepared to make the most of any view. Dive in with Ernie Wright, Artemis II Visualization Lead. Credit: NASA #Moon #LunarScience #LRO #Artemis #Astronaut
