We sent our BMW 1M Coupe (34,000 miles) to @PrecisionSportIndustries (PSI) for a proper deep-dive inspection before we take the next step: installing a rare Akrapovič titanium exhaust.
In this video, you’ll see PSI’s technician team do what they do best—start with a test drive, then put the 1M up on the lift for a full post-purchase-style evaluation. And yes… even a low-mile “dream car” can hide issues, especially when it’s lived through winters or spent time sitting.
What PSI found / what’s getting addressed:
• Differential input shaft leak → diff replacement/rebuild plan
• Oil pan gasket seepage
• Aging factory charge pipe (classic N54 weak point)
• Brake fluid condition → full brake flush (DOT 4)
• Coolant flush + oil service
• Outer tie rods so the alignment can actually be adjusted correctly (rust/binding)
The PSI team also does a walk around to check panel gaps, rubber condition, OEM glass, paint, wheel condition and more.
