What a month! This year’s Christmas with the Currys with eatlearnplay brought holiday book fairs to 47 Oakland elementary schools, giving 17,000 students the chance to choose 68,000 free, high-quality, culturally affirming books to take home. The best part? The moments in between — kids proudly picking their own stories, teachers cheering them on, and volunteers celebrating every book in every hand.
