“Cien Años de Soledad” is coming back to Netflix in August next year with some new additions to the cast. The 8-episode second part of the critically-acclaimed series, based on Colombian author Gabriel García Márquez’s iconic novel of the same name, will take audiences back to the magical town of Macondo and center on the continuing story of the Buendía family, which has been “condemned to one hundred years of solitude.” “We are deeply proud to announce that the production of the second part has begun. With this series we pay tribute to the legacy of Gabriel García Márquez and to Colombia and its extraordinary talent,” Francisco Ramos, Netflix’s Vice President of Content for Latin America, said in a press release. “We are in the best hands to carry the Buendia’s story to a successful conclusion.” #Netflix #OneHundredYearsOfSolitude #Colombia #HLOG
