With the big holiday approaching, we are highlighting some of the Christmas materials in our print shop exhibit at the Sacramento History Museum. We had a special guest, santa_j_claus⁠​⁠, help out with this one! In this video, Howard and Santa letterpress printed an image of Santa Claus from a photo engraving that was made roughly 80-90 years ago. It is a very interesting letterpress cut in our print shop exhibit because of what Santa is holding, a shovel.
