Inscribed “To Joe, love Elizabeth,” this rare Cartier London creation was gifted by Elizabeth Taylor to filmmaker Joseph Losey. Designed during the swinging sixties, the watch reflects the most subversive era of Cartier London, where subtle design revolutions, including the woven mesh bracelet with hidden deployant clasp, challenged the conventions of traditional watchmaking. Only three examples of this design are known to exist. When it returned to the spotlight, the watch achieved €95,000, capturing the imagination of collectors and becoming one of the most memorable watch moments of the year.
