Not too long ago, Deborah Silveira couldn’t imagine being a referee. She was a collegiate player, after all. Protesting calls, not making them, seems more natural for athletes. But when Deborah considered life after her playing career, she knew she wanted to stay involved in the sport. This could be a way to give back to the game, stay in shape and earn  some cash.
