If I had 24 hours in Cairo, here’s what I would do… Step 1: Visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest museum in Egyptian civilization in the world. I recommend booking tickets in advance and getting the guided tour option. The tour is 2 hours long and gives you enough information to appreciate the brilliance of Ancient Egypt without feeling lost in the magnitude. Step 2: Visit the pyramids of Giza, ideally with a guide. We booked a private tour from Viator and it was nice to get a little more information than what was written on plaques alone. Step 3: Stay at a centrally located spot. The fscaironp was the perfect place to unwind between exploration and sitting on a balcony with a view of the Nile was incredible!
