In 1953, he founded the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, creating a home where classical technique and contemporary expression could exist side by side, and where dancers of all backgrounds were welcomed and seen.⁠ ⁠ More than seven decades later, his legacy continues to guide everything we do.
