Oak Brook police officers were able to battle through smoke and fire to pull a person from an overturned vehicle last Sunday morning. According to the Illinois State Police, the crash occurred near milepost 137 on the Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway at approximately 3:43 a.m. Prior to that crash, Oak Brook police officers had seen the vehicle pass them on Route 83 at a high rate of speed, with the driver operating the vehicle without its headlights on, according to authorities. A short time later, officers responded to a call of a vehicle fire on the Reagan Tollway, and when they arrived the car was fully engulfed in flames. Officers were able to control the blaze briefly with fire extinguishers, and dramatic dashcam video showed officers pulling the person out from underneath the overturned vehicle. According to Oak Brook police, two officers and the occupant of the vehicle were taken to area hospitals, but all three only suffered minor injuries and were released. #oakbrook #fire...
