Earlier this week, Emily Walraven was named this year's recipient of the Hamilton Sport Ray Lewis Youth Community Service Sport Award. This award is presented to a Student-Athlete from Redeemer, McMaster, or Mohawk who not only is a high-level athlete who has competed at the Provincial and National level, but a true leader and gives back to others with their involvement and commitment to volunteering in the sports community. This recipient must demonstrate respect for all, rising to the challenge and striving for excellence, playing fairly and honestly and giving back to others Emily was not able to be present at the award reception yesterday morning as she competes at the NCCAA National Championships in Kissimmee, FL. #VerticalPurpose #RURoyalFamily
