We’re thrilled to have debuted this parody at the KASA Culture Show — an annual event hosted by the Korean American Students Association at the University of Michigan that celebrates Korean culture through student-led performances and a signature yearly film parody. This year’s film follows Hanna Kang, a hidden vocal talent faced with a life-changing decision: to undergo plastic surgery in pursuit of fame and the man she loves. Our remake is inspired by the 2006 film 200 Pounds Beauty (미녀는 괴로워), originally directed by Kim Yong-hwa and distributed by Showbox. Please note that this film is a parody and falls under fair use laws, as it uses elements of the original work for the purpose of commentary, criticism, and comedic effect. We do not claim any ownership or affiliation with the original work, and this film is not intended to infringe on any copyrights or trademarks.
