West Philly native Kareem Rosser was just eight years old when his brothers stumbled across Chamounix stables, and that wrong turn would end up changing the rest of his life.
In 2011, he became the captain of the first all-Black team to win the National Interscholastic Polo Championship. Kareem has traveled across the world to play in some of the most prestigious polo tournaments. He now serves as the Executive Vice President for worktoride1.
On the latest Sports in America, kareemrosser teaches us about competitive polo, which, despite its genteel reputation, is more like a mix of ice hockey and NASCAR. He also tells us about how he’s used tragedy in his life to help drive his passion for helping others.
