WIAA Division 3 playoff football over at Oconomowoc last night— Grafton vs. Catholic Memorial, and CMH was kind enough to bring me out. 🙏📸 Holy. Moly. This game had everything. Ups, downs, turnovers, momentum swings, mental mistakes… the full buffet. The field was solid but the lighting? Woof. If anyone has ever solved the mystery of high school football lighting, please call me. 😅 Grafton stormed back with 21 unanswered in the 4th to force OT, and the ending was straight out of a movie: – Delay of game pushes back their 4th-down try – Forced to line up for a field goal – CMH jumps offsides – 4th & short instead – Grafton converts – A few plays later… TD to the pylon for the walk-off win Final: Grafton 34, Catholic Memorial 31. Nothing for CMH to hang their heads about — just a heavyweight playoff matchup where the ball bounced one way tonight. Huge effort from both squads. And me? Just grateful to be on the sideline trying to make magic under lights straight out of 1998. 🫡🏈...
