Less than a week after Scott Frost's departure from the Nebraska Football program, Mickey Joseph led the Huskers through his first Unity Walk, and to his first game, as interim head coach.⁠ ⁠ Nebraska scored on the opening drive, Casey Thompson connecting with Trey Palmer to establish a 7-0 lead. Then things went downhill. ⁠ ⁠ However, despite the Huskers' 49-14 loss on Sept. 17, fans aren't ready to give up on the season. ⁠ ⁠ "We can't judge Mickey yet," UNL junior Olivia Carnevale said.
