A Nassau jury returned a split verdict in the trial of a Floral Park father accused of rushing onto the field of a youth league soccer match and striking an 11-year-old girl in the face after she collided with another player from his daughter’s team. The jury took an hour and a half to acquit Michael Stallone, a landscaper, of the top charge of third-degree misdemeanor assault. They convicted him of endangering the welfare of a child.
