Pre-event scrutineering is a vital step in any motorsport event. It not only ensures all the cars are prepared according to the regulations, but the officials also check the crews’ personal safety equipment. Only when the staff is certain every safety & technical aspect conforms with the relevant regulations, is the crew given a “checked” sticker & may take part in the event.
