Didyouknow that it is the inaugural Olympic eSports Week 2023 in Singapore and motorsports is one of the nine categories featured in the event. Twelve competitors from around the world competed against each other in the Gran Turismo 7 game. Behind the scenes, Stefanie Kleiber from Germany is one of three appointed Stewards for the event. She started out officiating in circuit racing and is also a member of the eSport working group in her home country. When she was offered an opportunity to take on stewarding duties in the first German SimRacing Championship, she took it on and has never look back. When asked what is the most challenging aspect of eSport stewarding, Stefanie says it is the speed in which she has to make a decision.
