I recently returned from my sixth trip to Palestine since 2015 and my fifth trip since October 7, 2023. For those who have walked this journey with me you know that, while I have always been pro-Palestinian, I never really understood the nature of the occupation and realities of living in an apartment state until going there myself. In 2015 my consciousness was cracked open and over the past two years, after more deeply connecting with @pjn_pcusa @sabeelelquds and @fosnalive and developing Palestinian friendships, I have committed to ushering others into this same spirit-opening experience. Five delegations later (leading four) and I am just as committed to helping people experience the holy and the horrible that simultaneously exists in the lives and land of Palestine.
