Although they briefly defected to Chick Hicks’ team after McQueen’s disappearance, they ultimately returned to their hero’s side and settled down in Radiator Springs. Beyond the first film, the duo became recurring background gags in Mater’s Tall Tales, constantly changing their appearance to fit Mater’s wild stories.
