Travel days with little ones can be a lot, but after YEARS of flying with my kids (since they were both infants), I’ve learned a few tricks to make it smoother. This travel day was a breeze! The kids went to school in the morning, I got in some self-care and finished packing, and we made it to the airport with time to spare without any major meltdowns. Here are some of my go-to travel day tips:
Bribery is allowed: Travel day is not the time to be stingy with snacks, surprises, or screen time. A well-timed treat just might save you from an unnecessary meltdown.
Let them be part of the process: Giving kids small jobs, like carrying their backpack, scanning the boarding pass, or choosing snacks, can be super helpful! It keeps them engaged and makes them feel important.
