Yesterday we attended a special event at my daughter’s school. Every kindergartener was escorted in by a senior and this tradition of the oldest students in the school leading the youngest is meant to inspire us to have gratitude for where we started and where we’re headed. It was such a beautiful moment, and of course there wasn’t a dry eye in the auditorium. It also reminded me of how quickly each stage of parenthood goes by. If you’re in the thick of parenting a baby or a toddler, know what with children, every stage is just that. Regardless of what stage of parenthood you’re in, whether you’re teaching your baby a silly song, preparing a child to start kindergarten, or getting ready to launch a high schooler into adulthood, you’ll see the fruits of your labor.
