I honestly used to shy away from using the term “basketball wife.” I felt like it put me in a box and meant that my identity was limited to being the wife of a basketball player. But, the truth is, I AM a basketball wife. Being married to a basketball player and living abroad is a huge part of my life, so why should I shy away from saying that? My lifestyle as a basketball wife is part of my story. It’s not all I am, by any means, but I do think we should own the parts of our stories that make us unique and share them with the world.
