It’s been just over a month since I arrived in Japan with these two cuties. Some days have been long, but overall, the month has flown by.
Relocating to a country that is not your home, even if it’s a country that you know and love, is hard. Relocating with small children is even harder. I had so much anxiety about how these two would handle the transition. As with many things, my anxiety was much worst than the actual event itself. Children are so resilient, and while there were days that I asked myself how we were going to make our life here work, these two have exceeded all of my expectations. Harper has settled into her new routine and international school with such confidence and grace. Jaxson has gone with the flow and remained a bright spot for all of us on the more difficult days.
If I had to pick just one thing that has made our adjustment a little bit easier, it would have to be sleep. My babies being able to get the rest that they have need...
