We’ve been in Japan for a week now, and to be honest, the travel day was exactly what I thought it would be: long and exhausting! But, it was ONE day, and to be together as a family, it was well worth it! Here are my tips for conquering an international travel with a baby and a toddler:
1. Pack plenty of activities, especially for the toddler. Light weight, easy to pack options like pop tubes and play dough were a big hit with Harper. Also, allow ALL the screen time.
2. Get a seat for baby if you can. No, baby won’t actually sit in it (unless you carry on the car seat), not being able to just lay baby down in the seat every now and then and utilize the extra space is well worth it
3. Babywear! Through the airport and on the flight, babywearing is your friend so that you can have your hands free to tend to your toddler when necessary.
Have you done a long flight with a baby and a toddler? If so, what tips would you add to the list?
