Have you ever wanted to bottle up a moment so you can come back to it later? That’s been me all day with my little family. So many moms with older children have stopped me, first to play with Jaxson (he’s a little ham), then to tell me that the time goes by so fast and that I’ll blink my eye and they’ll be big kids, then teenagers, then adults. These seasoned mamas, a few with tears in their eyes, have reminded me to enjoy these babies. I appreciate it, but I really don’t need the reminder. I know that the days are long but the months are short. I know that they grow up so quickly because I see it in Harper’s sudden maturity and in the clothes that no longer fit Jaxson. I also know that the memories of trips like this one are what I’ll look back on years from now.
