Today felt like a holiday. That doesn’t always happen when you’re abroad. Thanksgiving isn’t a holiday here in Japan, but it felt like one nonetheless. We got totally lucky and on a random fluke, my husband had the day off (which literally NEVER happens! He’s always had practice on Thanksgiving, even when we’ve been in America). I cooked a chicken, mac n cheese, green bean casserole, honey roasted carrots, and cabbage, all without an oven (most homes in Japan don’t have ovens - we have an air fryer and a stove with two burners). We got all dressed up in our matching
@monicaandandy holiday pajamas, ate dinner as a family, and watched 15 minutes of a Christmas movie before Harper demanded “JJ” and we switched to Cocomelon Christmas songs 😂
It was perfect. I am so blessed and so grateful for this little family of mine ♥️
Happy Thanksgiving from Japan, y’all!
Swipe for a little laugh 😂
