In less than 12 hours (at 4:24am, to be exact!), my baby will be a year old. I remember taking this picture a few hours after she was born and thinking, “Wow. She’s the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen.” I went in to wake her from her nap a little while ago and found myself standing over her crib, thinking the same thing ♥️ If I could go back to that day and tell myself one thing, it would be this: in raising littles, everything is a stage. The good things (like those sweet, sleepy newborn cuddles) and the not so good (like ALL the spit up) will pass, and in retrospect, it passes quickly. Relish the high moments. Don’t get too down during the lows. It all goes by in the blink of an eye. I remember thinking having a newborn was tough.
