I don’t like scales. In the past weighing myself too often has led me to fall off of the fitness train - thinking that my regimen wasn’t working because the number hadn’t changed enough. I prefer to track my progress based on how my clothes fit, and, more importantly, how I feel. I decided to stop letting those three numbers on the scale have power over me and my health, and it allowed me to be consistent without any strings attached. Last week, I stepped on a scale for the first time in a long time to get a baseline to weigh Harper in my arms and I was floored by the number. I hadn’t seen a number that low since I graduated from college. That was cool, but what’s even cooler for me is to see that these jeans that were once snug are super loose. What’s cooler is to be able to crush workouts that were once too challenging for me and feel my body getting stronger.
