I remember being so scared before we had Harper that having kids would change EVERYTHING. I’d heard horror stories about how much becoming parents changes the dynamics in a marriage and I was terrified of what having children would do to our relationship. It’s part of the reason I wanted to wait a while to have babies - things were so great between us and I was enjoying just being husband and wife. Of course, as new parents, things are different, but, you know what? They’re BETTER. I feel seen, heard, and valued as the mother of your child. After going on 12 years together, 5 countries, and a baby girl, I feel truly and completely known. I love our family time and cherish our alone time.
