I never pictured myself as the kind of mom that would wear her baby. I was reluctant to put even a single baby carrier or wrap on our registry, but I’m so glad I did. Baby wearing has honestly been one of my favorite parts of being a new mama because it allows me to keep Harper as close as possible. When my husband left for Italy a few weeks ago, I couldn’t imagine how I’d be able to stay on top of things by myself. Baby wearing was the answer. It soothes her and it gives me peace of mind. It allows me to eat a snack, wash a dish, or fold a t-shirt. It reminds me that close to me is her absolute favorite place to be and that pulls at my heart strings in a way I can’t even explain.
