Happy Mother's Day just doesn't seem to suffice this year. I have seen my mother's strength again and again throughout my life, but I have never seen it quite the same way that I have over the past few weeks. You see, my mom has quite literally been my everything on so many days since I had surgery a couple of weeks ago. From helping me shower and doing my hair to going above and beyond to make sure that I have not only everything that I need, but also any and every thing that I want, she has been the best caregiver that I could have ever asked for. She's let me sleep on her lap, cry on her shoulder, and made me laugh so hard that my cheeks hurt, and she's done it all while making me feel human during a time where I feel so abnormal in so many ways.
