The Baby at the Gate
While at a TTF Promise Home, our team heard the bell ring.
No one answered. So, they headed toward the gate of the home.
They opened the gate and looked down...
...and found a tiny baby girl wrapped in a blanket, crying.
Her clothes and blanket smelled of paraffin.
She carried the strong smell that clung to her clothes…
a sign of what she had been through.
She was maybe a month old. Alone. Frightened. Barely hanging on.
The team rushed her inside, bathed her, held her close, and loved her.
They named her Hope.
“I thank God we were there on time to save Hope,” one of our TTF Promise Home unties shared.
At the hospital, baby Hope was diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, a lifelong condition. But even then, Hope showed resilience.
She stayed in a TTF Promise Home, receiving 24/7 loving care, nutrition, medical attention, and the warmth of aunties who treated her like their own.
And then...
Hope was adopted.
Today, she is with a forever family who cherish...
