Looking to start their new year off right? Here are a few things to add to your resolution list: 🩸Save a life, donate blood! - The OneBlood Big Red Bus will be at City Hall, 401 W. Venice Ave, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7 and Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026. According to OneBlood, every two seconds of every day, someone needs blood - your donation could save someone's life. While 62% of the population is eligible to donate, only 3% actually do. Donors must bring a valid ID, be 16 years or older, and should eat a full meal before donating. You can donate whole blood every 56 days. Appointments are not required. 🚴‍♂️Get fit with the COV Monthly Bike Ride! Starting at City Hall at 10 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month, join Special Events & Mobility Coordinator Darlene Culpepper for a leisurely, guided 7-mile ride around the island of Venice.
