That’s exactly what a fan bike lets you train: explode, recover under control, explode again without trashing your joints.
Here’s the off season play:
2 hard sessions per week, ideally after upper body lifts.
Keeps your legs fresh for speed days and lower body strength, while you still stack real conditioning.
Rule that separates athletes from people who just sweat:
Stop the set when power drops. Track best rep vs worst rep.
The closer they are, the more football ready you are.
Quick hitters to cycle:
Quality Sprints: 10s all out, 50s rest x 10
Play Clock: 6s violence, 30s reset x 12
8 Minute Test: strong pace for 8, finish faster than you started
Tabata: 20 on 10 off x 8 as a prove it day, not every week
