This was a writing contest prompt that I came across months ago. I never wrote/submitted in time for the contest, but that prompt stuck with me for a long time. There are A LOT of doors that closed for me that now in hindsight, I'm really glad they did. Even if things weren't clear at the time why or they really sucked and hurt... I'm glad I'm in a spot now where I am better for it. I'm glad I keep pushing, no matter how many doors close for me. (Maybe I'll write about some of the other ones some day) I haven't really done any creative writing for a long time and it felt good to stretch those muscles again.
