This Memorial Day will be different for many of us. Local guidelines may limit much of the cookouts and family gatherings we usually have to kick off the unofficial first day of summer. Many of the organized events to decorate the graves of fallen service members with flags have been cancelled. ⁣ ⁣ However we choose to celebrate, let’s take a moment to reflect on and appreciate the men and women who have given their lives for our freedom over the course of our nation’s history. Let’s also remember the many doctors, nurses, and first responders who have given their lives in the fight against COVID-19.
