🥳Happy 2026 from Vietnam🇻🇳 We just spent a few days off the grid to kick off the New Year in Ha Long Bay and it was pure magic. This was supposed to be just a day trip out of Ha Long Bay… and it ended up being my favorite day out of our entire trip in Vietnam 🌿✨ We took a catamaran ⛵️ out of Ha Long Bay to Việt Hải, a quiet rural village tucked away on one of the islands. Biking through the village 🚲 felt unreal—lush landscapes, total peace, and scenery that honestly didn’t even seem real 🌾🌄 We tried a Vietnamese fish foot massage 🐟😂 (ticklish at first but SO fun), biked past homestays where you can actually stay with local families 🏡, and saw fruit growing right there—pomelos 🍊, star fruit ⭐️, jackfruit 🍈, and dragon fruit 🐉 when it’s in season. We even visited one of the filming locations from Kong: Skull Island 🦍 before heading back to the boat for a Vietnamese-style family lunch 🍽️🍲.
