Today @wfuchaplains hosted “The Prayers of the People: Praying with Our Feet” in response to the mass shooting in Las Vegas, the aftermath of Hurricanes #Harvey, #Irma and #Maria, and other unsettling events happening around the world. The rending of fabric is an act of mourning in the Jewish tradition. Participants were invited to select a piece of torn fabric, walk Hearn Plaza in contemplation, prayer or reflection, and tie their fabric to a #peacepole as a commitment to pursue peace for all people. ☮️
