Obex is a stablecoin incubator designed to support early teams developing yield-generating stablecoins built on real-world asset strategies. The program offers a structured environment where participants work on stablecoin models backed by categories such as compute credits, energy assets, or fintech lending. Sky (the entity formerly known as MakerDAO and the issuer of the USDS stablecoin) participates in the initiative and provides access to its resources, while Framework Ventures helps administer the incubator. In November 2025, Obex raised $37M from Framework Ventures, LayerZero, and Sky and can access up to $2.5B worth of Sky-authorized USDS for selected participants.
