Today we’re diving into PROTEIN! While protein is essential for your toddler’s growth and development, it also helps to keep your little ones full between meal and snack times.
What many parents don’t realize is that toddlers typically only need about 13 grams of protein per day, which can easily be achieved with balanced meals and snacks! Here’s an example for how those 13g can be met👇
🍽️ BREAKFAST: 1 tbsp peanut butter on whole grain bread + strawberries = 6g
🍽️ LUNCH: grilled cheese fold over + grapes + cucumber slices = 5g
🍽️ SNACK: apple sticks + 2 tbsp greek yogurt + cinnamon = 3g
🍽️ DINNER: ¼ cup black beans + 2 tbsp brown rice + 1 tbsp shredded cheese + halved tomatoes = 6g
