Last week, Assistant Chief Brent Burgett joined us in honoring azgfd Officer Kevin Crouch for his heroic actions! Officer Crouch provided lifesaving aid to a critically injured pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Before our Isaiah Santillan and Robert Celentano from our Transport (M2209) and GilbertfireDept (E252) arrived, he applied two tourniquets, one to the arm and one to the leg, stopping severe bleeding. His quick thinking and decisive response saved the patient’s life, who has since been discharged to a skilled nursing facility for recovery and rehabilitation.
