Myles Garrett's pursuit of NFL history came down to the last quarter of the regular-season finale. The Cleveland Browns defensive end finally broke through in Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, setting the NFL single-season sack record with his fourth-quarter takedown of Joe Burrow. Garrett had been stuck on 22 after being blanked last week in the penultimate game of the regular season. With his 23rd on Sunday, however, he pushed a half-sack past the mark previously held by Hall of Famer Michael Strahan and Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt. Garrett had been confident entering the week about his odds of capturing the record.
