Four Nassau police officers have been harassed and denied opportunities for advancement and overtime because they suffer from a medical condition that makes shaving painful, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court. The officers say they were placed on restricted assignment because they received accommodations exempting them from shaving due to pseudofolliculitis barbae, better known as razor bumps or ingrown hairs.
