At a press conference celebrating Minnesota’s paid family and medical leave program, Walz delivered fiery broadsides against his GOP critics. Addressing the Republicans who’ve called for his resignation, he said, “over my dead body will that happen.”
He said Republicans are criticizing him for fraud all while “protecting the biggest fraudster in the White House.” He criticized Republicans in the Legislature for not condemning President Donald Trump’s reposting of lies about the assassination of Melissa and Mark Hortman.
He suggested he won’t be held back by a re-election campaign anymore and is ready to go to bat against his GOP counterparts.
“I have more energy than I’ve ever had,” Walz said.
