Happy 2026 DJDS Fam!
Today was a productive PD day for faculty and staff and we are so excited to see everyone back in the halls tomorrow, as well as welcome our HIP trippers home later this week.
In the meantime, here’s what our HIP students have been up to on their Israel journey:
The past several days have been full, meaningful, and energizing. After a week of volunteering, learning, and building real friendships with Israeli teens in Ramat HaNegev, the group was happy to return “home” to the Be’er Sheva campus. From there, students explored key sites connected to Israel’s War of Independence and enjoyed some well-earned downtime in Jerusalem at Mamilla.
Midweek included a large community race and celebration at ADI Negev, a JNF-funded rehabilitation village for children and adults with disabilities and injuries.
