Alabamians are footing the bill for textbooks that downplay slavery, call rock music “rebellious” and question the science of evolution. Thanks to the CHOOSE Act, which sent families $100 million in education tax credits and allowed students to leave public school for private and homeschool options, families can use that money to pay for private school tuition, textbooks and school support.
